New Construction & Remodel Plumbing

New Construction & Remodel Plumbing on the North Shore

The plumbing is the part of a build or remodel you only notice when it’s wrong. A drain with too little slope, a shower valve set two inches off, a supply line nobody can reach once the tile is in. Biagi Plumbing has been plumbing custom homes, additions, and renovations on the North Shore since 1989, and we plan the work so it’s right before the walls close.

Remodels in Older Homes

Many North Shore homes are 60, 80, even 100 years old. Open a wall in Kenilworth or Lake Forest and you might find galvanized supply lines, cast iron drains, or a vent that was cut off two remodels ago. We plan for that. If old piping should come out while the walls are open, we’ll show you what we found and what it costs before we touch it.

What We Handle

  • Kitchen and bathroom remodels, including moving sinks, toilets, and showers.
  • Basement bathrooms, laundry rooms, and wet bars.
  • Additions and second-floor baths.
  • Rough-in and finish plumbing for new custom homes.
  • Water heaters and water lines for new appliances.
  • Fixture installation, from standard to high-end.

Working With Builders and Homeowners

We work directly with homeowners, general contractors, architects, and designers. We’ll walk the plans, flag problems early, and line up our rough-in and finish visits with the rest of your schedule.

New Construction & Remodel Plumbing FAQs

When should I bring a plumber into a remodel?

Before demolition, ideally at the design stage. Moving a toilet or adding a shower can change drain slope and venting, and it’s much cheaper to plan around that on paper than after framing.

Can you move plumbing in an older home?

Usually, yes. Older homes can have limited space for drains and vents, so we look at the joists and the existing stack first and tell you what’s realistic before you commit to a layout.

Do you work with my general contractor?

Yes. We coordinate with builders, GCs, and designers on schedule and layout, or we can work directly for you as the homeowner.

Should I replace old pipes while the walls are open?

If you have galvanized or old cast iron in the area being remodeled, it’s usually the best time. The walls are already open, so you save on the labor of going back in later.
