Chicago’s North Shore Trenchless Sewer Line Installation

When Biagi Plumbing performs trenchless sewer line replacement, our plumbing experts do not need to dig an entire trench around the sewer line pipe to replace it as they would using traditional methods. Instead, they utilize a method referred to as “pipe bursting,” which only requires one small access hole to be dug. With trenchless methods, you don’t need to worry about your landscaping, driveway, or sidewalks being ripped up.

Traditional Sewer line installation methods take around two weeks to complete due to the nature of trench digging. This can be extremely disruptive to your everyday life. With a trenchless sewer line install, the job is typically completed in just one to three days, depending on the complexity of your sewer line’s location and accessibility.

Trenchless sewer line installation and replacement is less expensive compared to its traditional counterparts for several reasons. The first being that because there are no trenches required, you will not need to spend money on re-landscaping your lawn or reconstructing your sidewalk and driveways. Secondly, the amount of time, labor, and materials required to perform trenchless installation does not take nearly as much time to complete. Depending on the complexity of the job, a trenchless sewer line replacement can be completed in about one to three days on average, whereas traditional methods will take around two weeks.

Digging trenches is obviously extremely disruptive to you, your family, your home, and your normal routines because it is loud, destructive, and will affect your ability to use your plumbing. Considering traditional methods also require about one to two weeks to complete, you will not have plumbing for that amount of time and will have to deal with loud noises through the entire process as well. Additionally, it is worth noting that your neighbors will also likely be affected by the loud nature of the job as well. With trenchless technology, only a few access holes are required at most, and the job itself is not nearly as loud or intrusive.

With trenchless technology and pipe bursting methods, Biagi Plumbing is essentially able to create a pipe within a pipe for your sewer line. Many experts argue this is actually better than completely replacing your existing sewer line because your pipes are now twice as protected. If you choose to utilize trenchless technology, you can expect your sewer line to last for about fifty years.
